It was a new year (2004), and I was recovering from  TMJ surgery, a bi-lateral modified condylotomy. My jaw bones had been cut, my mouth wired shut, along with lots of physical therapy to re-learn how to use my mouth. In some ways, I was better... but something wasn't quite right.
